766 posts · Joined 2013. #5 · Jan 27, 2016. Mine started whistling a couple of weeks ago. 2008 LS 115 BHP with 113K Miles. At first I thought the noise was interference from the radio or my bluetooth kit. The boost at lower revs is non-existent. The boost kicks in quite hard at around 2.5K revs.
Hi. Swapped a Focus C-Max 1.6 TDCi for a Ceed SW 1.6 CRDi a couple of months ago. Happy so far, the engine is more refined and the space is better than a C-Max which was in itself excellent.
Kia will not replace parts until fault developes. Service quoted £187+ (£40 MOT) but £49.50 extra for cleaning brake dust. Local garage quotes £140 including cleaning brake dust.
